Courses & learning

A pathway through the art.

The project’s original training plan develops through three stages. Course videos and supporting workbooks will be added as the materials are finalized for publication.

01

Foundations

Posture, basic hip movements, chest and shoulder movement, arms and hands, musical listening, and bringing simple movements together.

02

Control & layering

Traveling steps, combining movements, turns, rhythm, expressive choices, and introductions to performance props.

03

Performance & creative identity

Developing a personal style, building a sequence, working with costume and presentation, performing for the camera, and reflecting on a filmed routine.

A curriculum overview from the project’s training materials. There is currently no paid enrollment or complete online course available through this website.

Begin with observation

A guide to watching dance.

01

Listen before you look.

Play a short passage and focus on its sound. Notice the pulse, changes in energy, and moments of quiet. Then watch again and look for the places where movement meets the music.

02

Follow one gesture.

Choose an arm movement, a turn, or a change of direction. Watch how it begins, how it develops, and where it ends. A small gesture can give a whole scene its character.

03

Notice the frame.

Compare a wide view with a closer image. What does each let you see? Watch how setting, costume, light, and camera distance change your experience of the same performance.

04

Return to the story.

After watching, describe the mood in a few words. Was it playful, reflective, dramatic, or dreamlike? There is no single answer: the point is to look closely and find your own response.

From watching to exploring

Keep curiosity in motion.

This section begins with film appreciation and creative observation. Original practical learning resources are being developed separately; the current website does not offer a complete dance course or lesson bookings.
